Terms of use
These terms apply when you use the Culina app and this website. By using Culina you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
What Culina does
Culina helps you keep track of food at home and suggests recipes made with AI from what you have. It also shows realistic food photos, tracks meals you log and, with Premium, builds grocery lists and lets you set your own targets.
AI suggestions are suggestions
Recipes, nutrition numbers and photos are created automatically and can be wrong. Please use your own judgement:
- Allergies and intolerances: Culina tries hard to leave out your allergens and warns you when something looks wrong, but it can make mistakes. Always check ingredients and labels yourself.
- Food safety: cook food thoroughly, especially meat, fish and eggs, and don't eat food that is past its use-by date or looks or smells off, whatever the app says.
- Health: calorie and macro figures are estimates. Culina is not medical or dietary advice. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant or follow a special diet, ask a doctor or dietitian.
- Photos: food photos are illustrations and may not look exactly like your dish.
Free and Premium
- The free plan has daily limits on AI features, shown in the app.
- Premium is a subscription sold through Google Play, monthly or yearly. Prices are shown in Google Play before you buy.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions). Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Premium until the end of the period you've paid for.
- If a free trial is offered and you cancel before it ends, you won't be charged.
- Refunds follow Google Play's refund policy. Your rights as a consumer under the law where you live are not affected.
- Daily limits keep the service affordable and may change. We'll give notice in the app before a change that reduces what Premium includes.
Fair use
Please don't misuse Culina: don't try to get around limits, overload or reverse-engineer our services, use them to create anything unlawful, or enter other people's personal information.
Ownership
The app, its design and this website belong to Culina's developer. You may use the recipes Culina gives you for your own cooking however you like. Stock photos are used under the Unsplash licence.
Other services
Culina relies on Google Play, Google Firebase, OpenAI and image services. Their own terms apply to their parts, and we're not responsible for outages on their side.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Culina running but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or stop features. If we stop Premium altogether, we'll explain how unused paid time is handled.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Culina is provided “as is”, and we're not liable for indirect losses or for harm resulting from following AI suggestions without the checks described above. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Ending
You can stop using Culina at any time by uninstalling it (and cancelling any subscription in Google Play). We may suspend access if these terms are seriously broken.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of the country where Culina's developer is established. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
Changes to these terms
We'll update the date above when these terms change and tell you in the app about important changes.
